It's not widely known and goes against everything 'Black Friday' typically stands for. Oddly enough though, it always falls on the day after Thanksgiving. That's for a very important reason.
I didn't give myself the nickname of "best gift giver," but I have been called it. I'll admit, it is true that I have a knack of finding the "perfect" items for people. Some call it luck, but that's not what it is. Not at all.
Since moving into my house, I've pretty much annually thrown a "Friendsgiving" - long before people were using the term, by the way, which makes me feel like I lost out on a fortune. Any way, with that being said, yesterday was my latest installment of the Marissa-made-holiday.
Wednesday was our Secret Star Acoustic Jam and it was an absolutely amazing show. All of the performers were so incredibly talented and super down to earth. My favorite moment was backstage, though. It involved: Me, Parmalee and a ridiculous spelling bee.
I'm not too sure why this seems to be happening more and more. Maybe it's people not paying attention. But, I don't even want to chalk it up to that because how bad must it be if you're driving INTO a store?!
We're expecting a BEAUTIFUL day Saturday. It's sad to think that this could be the last we see of the mid-60s for a while (unless we have a magical winter like last year - I won't hold my asthmatic breath.) So, how should you spend it? I have a few ideas!

This time around was a little different than my first Secret Star back in the Spring; 1) I was more adapted to my position here at GNA 2) I knew what to expect going in 3) I also knew the line up going in which was different for all of us this go around. It really allowed us to know just how big of a deal this show was going to be and man, was it!?!
At 5-years old, I was loving the Muppet Babies and coloring. I wasn't doing the amazing things that Ella Dane Morgan, from Clifton Park is doing.
In fact, I didn't have a single thing to put
It's a long shot and I think people realize that. But, there are people so dead set on Donald Trump not moving into the White House that they'll desperately try anything right now. That's why if you're on social media, it hasn't been a quiet demonstration of protest and petitions.
It's beginning to look a lot like...okay, so it's not really. I mean, lets be honest some of us are still munching on that Halloween candy without a Christmas care in the world. But with November in full swing, stores switching over with holiday spirit, it's time to start getting in the mood for good ol' Saint Nick!
