Since moving into my house, I've pretty much annually thrown a "Friendsgiving" - long before people were using the term, by the way, which makes me feel like I lost out on a fortune. Any way, with that being said, yesterday was my latest installment of the Marissa-made-holiday.I had approximately 20 people coming to my home and I was supplying the bird. 22 pounds of majestic "Prime Young Turkey" (that sounds dirty, right? It's not just me?)

I read the instructions on how to thaw, how long to cook, how many pounds to have per person, etc. I knew what I was supposed to do but it seemed a little unreasonable to put this bird in the sink with cold water and change it every thirty minutes. I had a better idea..and it worked.
