Should Girlfriend Go Hunting With Boyfriend’s Parents?

Shelby in Scotia needed some advice about going on a family hunting trip with her boyfriend. She wrote:

My boyfriend and I have been together for about five months and he asked me to go turkey hunting with his mom and dad in May. I have nothing against hunting but, personally, I don't want to go. He said this is very important to him because this is the first time they have asked one of his girlfriends to come along hunting. How do I tell him that I want no part of this and that I think he should just go with his parents alone? Would they not like me if I turn down their invitation?
