And they said it couldn't be done!  Well, I guess we proved the critics wrong again!  We did a 26 hour broadcast to help flood relief victims of tropical storm Irene, and here are the photos to prove it!

I'm actually speechless tonite. It's not that I don't want to write a blog about this. I'm just completely overwhelmed by the generosity shown by you, the WGNA listeners ONCE AGAIN. We put out the call, and you were there in droves for our fundraiser/campout on the Standard Restaurant patio in the Crossgates Mall, Albany.

I think I can speak for all of us to say that it was an extremely humbling experience to just basically camp out in front of a mall  and see what it felt like to be sleepless, uncomfortable as all get-out, and purposely without the big screen tv, wi-fi, air conditioned creature comforts of home for a nite.I'm  back in that safe enviornment as I write this, but I can't stop thinking about all those who can't go home. It is mind-boggling to me.

But perhaps MORE mind-blowing was your over-the top generosity out there AGAIN! So I threw this little slideshow together tonite in your honor. It features some of the "drive-by donators" who got caught on my hidden camera and our staff working their tails off to collect your incredible donations.

How can we thank you all?  There's no way.  I'm sure this won't be the last time we ask for help.  These are tough times.  I guess that brings out the best in all of us, to stick together against all odds.  WGNA is one humongous family, and I'm proud to be a part of it for over 20 years now.  (Can it really be 2 decades?)
