One of the greatest summer activities is hanging out at a beer festival on a beautiful day with your friends. One of the more popular ones for people in the area has just announced they've cancelled this year.

Every April, tickets go on sale for Brewery Ommegang's Belgium Comes to Cooperstown and every year, they sell out in hours. It's one of the most popular beer festivals in Upstate New York, according to New York Upstate.

This year, after 20 years of hosting the festival, Ommegang has decided to cancel the festival this year. They hope to bring the BCTC festival back in 2020 but with recent renovations, they've found this year to just be too difficult. Ommegang has added the Tap House, renovated branding, and they want the next festival after all that updating to be the best one yet.

Just because this festival is cancelled, Ommegang wants to remind people that it doesn't mean that their summer concert series is going away. They will still be hosting concerts at their space, you'll just have to wait until next year for the festival.
