Which Two New York Cities Made The List?
Cooperstown
Main Street in Cooperstown has a ton of charm. It crosses right over the Susquehanna River and winds past the famous National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.
Lined with trees and full of history, the street is dotted with baseball-themed shops, fun spots like a batting range, and plenty of places to soak up the hometown vibe.
It’s especially beautiful in the fall, but if you’re a baseball fan, try to plan your trip around the Hall of Fame induction ceremony in late July, when the whole town comes alive with energy and excitement.
Lake Placid
Main Street in Lake Placid is full of charm, especially along the stretch that curves around the western edge of Mirror Lake. All of it unfolds in the shadows of the legendary Olympic Village, adding a little extra magic to every step.
You’ll find cozy shops stocked with gear for whatever the weather brings, plus a great mix of places to eat. There are laid-back cafés and elegant spots perfect for a special night out. If you're staying overnight, there are some lovely bed and breakfasts, inns, boutique hotels, and peaceful lakeside resorts that make it easy to relax and take in the view.
