Debby Downer! Saratoga Race Course Cancels Friday’s Races
The New York Racing Association, (NYRA) announced that the ten races scheduled for Friday, August 9th at Saratoga Race Course have been canceled.
Tropical Storm Debby is bringing heavy rains and high winds to the Capital Region and Saratoga overnight tonight and throughout the day on Friday. NYRA decided to cancel the races.
The featured races on Friday are the Evan Shipman and the Union Avenue. These races with be rescheduled.
Saratoga Race Course will be closed to the public on Friday and breakfast and track tours will not be offered. Fans who are holding August 9th tickets are entitled to either a full refund or credit for a future purchase and will be contacted directly by the NYRA sales office. If you purchased tickets through a third-party site you are not eligible for a refund from NYRA and customers must directly contact the third-party vendor for assistance.
Live action at Saratoga Race Course will resume on Saturday. Post time is at 12:35 pm.
The featured races on Saturday, August 10th will move to Sunday, August 11th's last two races. They are The Grade 1 FanDuel Fourstardave and The Grade 1 Saratoga Derby Invitational.
