Parker McCollum Fools GNA; Tells Them ‘Fake Name’ for Unborn Son
What a Week for Parker!
It's been one stellar week for country star Parker McCollum, who performed live last week and even took home an award at the ACM Awards before opening up for Morgan Wallen for two historic shows at Met Life Stadium.
Ahead of his show Friday night at SPAC, Brian and Chrissy from the GNA Morning Show caught up with the rising star, who shared his thoughts with them about the week that was, as well as what the future for this 31-year-old, soon-to-be dad.
They're Naming the Baby, What?
McCollum's wife, Hallie Ray, is due with the couple's first child, a boy, sometime in August. McCollum hesitated when asked if they had decided on a name yet but revealed they had.
"I like the name "Lawn," he said. "I'm a big grass guy, and I like mowing and stuff."
Unsure how to react, Brian and Chrissy plodded along before McCollum let the air out of the bag, telling them he was messing around. But to be fair, we've heard some pretty wild and unusual names lately, and "Lawn" is NOT the worst!
Check out the Parker McCollum Interview
Throughout the interview, GNA dives into his life on the road with Morgan Wallen and McCollum's appreciation for law enforcement, military men and women, and first responders. He even told us what he'd do if his wife ever went into labor while he was performing a show.
McCollum is a poignant and honest old soul who maintains a sharp sense of humor; his personality and music reflect that. Enjoy!
