The 2020 summer of bummers continues. We just found out that the largest waterpark and resort in New York state will not be able to open this summer due to the guidelines from the coronavirus pandemic. Back on June 25th, the Enchanted Forest Water Safari had announced that they would be open for the summer of 2020 that following Saturday. They thought that Phase Four would be underway and they outlined many safety protocols to comply with the state.  They were forced to remain closed, but optimistic that they would be able to open sometime this summer. Now they have officially made the announcement that they will not open for the 2020 summer season.

According to News 10 ABC, the Enchanted Forest Water Safari in Old Forge put a statement up on the website explaining that they were not going to be able to open for the 2020 season.

The statement read in part that it was not an easy decision and that they followed all of the proper protocols to prepare to be able to open this summer. They also said that the time, effort, and expense that went into trying to open responsibly was to no avail. The Enchanted Forest Water Safari management goes on to say that they just couldn't provide their customers with safe and fun family experience. The good news is that in the 2021 summer season at the Enchanted Forest Water Safari, will introduce three new water rides.

If you had reservations for the 2020 season, you can get information on refunds for season passes, tickets, and cabana rentals HERE.

They are encouraging everyone to come and get away to Old Forge to enjoy all it has to offer.
