NY State Fall Foliage Report! Which Areas Will Reach Peak This Weekend?
Nobody likes change unless it's the leaves changing colors in New York State and man we are about to his the best time of year for leaf-peeping!
According to I Love New York, we are closing in on peak Fall foliage conditions in the Adirondacks and much of the Catskills. By this weekend you should see peak color in those areas of the state! Check out the maps below.
If Monday brings a day off for you the timing is perfect to take the long weekend and see the leaves! Maybe a daytrip North to Lake George or Lake Placid would be in order! South of Albany to Woodstock or Rhinebeck would be great destinations. As I look out of my Capital Region window I see partial coverage but when exactly will we see peak color throughout New York State?
How brilliant will the leaves be this year? It's impossible to predict with 100% accuracy but some experts claim that it will be fantastic. According to Frommer's, New England is predicted to be spectacular, so why not New York?
There is so much to enjoy about Fall in New York State and so many regions to explore. Central New York, Adirondacks, Capital Region and the Hudson Valley will be exploding with color over the next several weeks. Get out and take it all in.
