Upstate New York Gets The First Fall Foliage Report Of The Year
Fall is my favorite season for the year, so it's a good thing I live in Upstate New York. Nowhere else on earth gets autumn colors like we do, and the time is almost upon us.
Upstate New York's first Fall Foliage Report of the year has just come in, so lets take a look at where to see the most vibrant colors these next few weeks...

Fall Colors in the Capital Region
While you may not have seen any yet, we're just a few short days away from the leaves starting to turn here in the Capital Region. According to iloveny.com, several areas will begin to see change within the next week.
Albany County is expected to see a 15% change at Thacher State Park, and a 5% change at Cohoes Falls, with average reds and oranges beginning to show.

Washington Park in Rensselaer County, Saratoga Springs in Saratoga County, and Central Park in Schenectady County will all expect a 10% change, with yellows and oranges beginning to creep in.
Through the Rest of the Year
It's expected to be a beautiful year for fall colors in the Capital Region later down the line. Fall colors are expected to be showing up full time by late September/early October, with mid-October getting them in full swing.
Albany is expected to last a little longer than the rest of the state, moving past peak colors in early November.
