There may be a chance that none of these games will be played due to the lockout in the National Football League, but the League released schedules for all their teams yesterday.

If the lockout is resolved, the season will begin like it has for the last few years now with a Thursday night game featuring the Super Bowl Champion(that still hurts to say) Green Bay Packers taking on the previous years Champion New Orleans Saints on September 8th. That should be a great game and a great way to start the season, I do stress the word SHOULD because last's years season opener was a snoozefest.

The first Sunday of the season will feature a game between the New York Giants and the Washington Redskins on the 10th Anniversary of 9/11. Obviously New York and Washington were the 2 areas hardest hit in the tragedy. There will surely be lots of emotion and a few dry eyes in the stands. I truly think this is a brilliant move by the NFL. Football brings so many americans together every Sunday and this will bring us together even more.  The New York Jets will be playing at the New Meadowlands Stadium for the first Sunday Night game of the season that night  taking on the Dallas Cowboys.

The First Monday of the season will once again see a double header.Things will get kicked off  with division rivals New England Patriots taking on the Miami Dolphins then Levack and Jake's favorites the Oakland Raiders battle the Denver Broncos in the later game.

There is of course that chance that these games won't be played due to the lockout, but seeing a set schedule for the season gives me that glimmer of hope that I will be sitting on my couch enjoying a few cold ones watching my Pittsburgh Steelers hopefully win their seventh Super Bowl.

Mondays would be very difficult without hearing this song:

and I don't think i could live without my weekly dose of Faith Hill looking hot and  singing the intro to Sunday Night Football

For that reason alone, this lockout thing should be resolved!!!!!
