New Southern-Style Restaurant Opening In Schenectady
The owners of the Cuckoo's Nest and Crave in Albany are getting ready to open a new restaurant in Schenectady.
If you are a foodie, you know that the Cuckoo's Nest and Crave in Albany are two of the Capital Region's best restaurants. And now owner's Kaytrnin Salla and Devin Zeimann are ready to open their next eatery.
According to a Saratoga Living story, The Nest is set to open its doors at 512 State Street in Schenectady in mid-October. The new restaurant was originally set to open in March, but that got pushed back because of the pandemic. Nest will feature Southern fare and the owners told Saratoga Living they are starting this location to meet customer demand for food similar to their Albany restaurants in the Clifton Park, Saratoga, and Schenectady areas.
Firsts, major kudos here to both owners on fighting through the challenges of a pandemic to open another restaurant. Opening a business in a perfect climate is difficult enough; opening one during the uncertainty of this pandemic is a big achievement. As a Clifton Park resident I am looking forward to being a short drive away from the Nest. When they open I can't wait to move them to the top of my take out list!
