New Riverfront ‘Glamp-site’ Opens In Schuylerville This Month
Just in time for summer, Capital Region campers will have a new spot to get their 'glamp' on.
Even for those who like to rough it outdoors, sometimes you just want a little comfort and luxury to make taking on the elements a little easier. And no matter what style of camping it is, the waterfront is always a desired location. A new 'glamping' destination set to open later this month provides both.
According to The Saratogian, Camp Rockaway will open in Hudson Crossing Park in Schuylerville Friday, May 28th and will feature "safari-style tents" that come with all the comforts of home. They are perched on a wood deck, come furnished, and even feature their own porches. With a May 28th opening, the sites will be open in just in time for Memorial Day and the unofficial start to summer!
According to Camp Rockaway's website you will be able to enjoy "Nature trails, fishing, birdwatching, a children’s play garden, historic walking bridge, sculpture by local artists, picnic pavilion..." and more. Plus, glampers will have access to the Hudson River and will be able to check out Champlain Canal Lock C-5.
Location-wise, it does not get much better than the riverfront camping this spot provides, Me personally, that just elevates the whole camping experience. And not having to set up a tent and lug in all of your gear is a nice bonus too! Even if you are the most hardcore, take on nature kind of camper, ya gotta admit enjoying the great outdoors in easy street would not be a band change of pace!
You can reserve your 'glamp-site' now at the Camp Rockaway website.
