All Movies At These Capital Region Theaters Are $3 On Saturday!
After a rough two years during-and-post pandemic, people are finally getting back to movie theaters. It's been good to have big summer blockbusters lighting up the screens and electrifying audiences again.
There were serious doubts as to whether movie theaters would make it out of the pandemic with in-home competition and lockdown restrictions, but now theaters are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. To celebrate a great summer and thank moviegoers, there will be an unprecedented nationwide "thank you."
Happy National Cinema Day
Nation's biggest chains joining forces with local and independent movie houses to say thank you by lowering ticket prices to $3 this Saturday, September 3. This herculean coming together was orchestrated, or should I say directed, by The Cinema Foundation, and even includes movies in IMAX and other premium formats.
"This day is for movie lovers across the US, celebrating how movies are meant to be seen, on the big screen" - Ken Thewes, Regal Cinemas Chief Marketing Officer
What Movies Can You See For $3?
Easy - any movie playing on Saturday! You could see any film currently running in theaters, like Top Gun: Maverick, the latest Minions, or Bullet Train. There are also special offerings for National Cinema Day.
For any Marvel fans, the $3 weekend also coincides with the theatrical re-release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which originally came out in December. If you love the classics, some theaters will be screening Jaws (very topical on Long Island this summer, I hear) and the 1958 monster movie, The Blob.
