Greg Biffle has started the 2012 NASCAR season very consistently.  Three great third-place finishes in a row in the first three NASCAR races of season.  That consistency has taken Biffle to the top of the Sprint Cup Series point standings.  Now he will start from the number one starting spot at Bristol Motor Speedway as he qualified for the pole in Sunday's Food City 500 race.

Biffle drives the No. 16 3M Ford for Roush Fenway Racing.  He has 10 career poles but has never won a pole previously at Bristol.  In Friday's qualifying, Biffle set fast time beating out AJ Allmendinger by just .001 seconds for the premier starting spot.

Biffle not only won the pole but he is now also qualifed for the 2013 Shootout at Daytona.

Defending NASCAR champion and last week's winner Tony Stewart will start 23rd this week at Bristol.  Biffle's teammate and Daytona 500 champion Matt Kenseth will start 21st.
