It took 4 rain delays, 9 hours and some lights, but NASCAR’s Sprint Cup race proved worth the wait!Matt Kenseth pulled out the win and broke his 51-race losing last night at Bristol. WHAT a race it was!

After 23 laps, the race was red flagged for rain. Four hours later the race started again with a couple changes.

Denny Hamlin was not driving the 11 car anymore! Hamlin pulled his neck in lap 12. Thinking a rain delay would help, it actually made it worse and in came the substitute driver, Erik Jones, who flew in from North Carolina with literally 5 minutes to spare. When the race re started, you could see the crew pulling his suitcase! No worries Hamlin fans, he is already in the chase with his win earlier in the season!
Kurt Busch had to drive the race with a back-up Crew Chief as Tony Gibson was stuck in his trailer with kidney stones!

(Both drivers wound up crashing!)

Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson were both down 2 laps at points during the race and they finished 2nd and 3rd.

And a green white checkered finish...WOW!  What more can you ask for in a race!

Wait, we have not talked about Harvick…stange!  No free bloomin’ onion today. I guess the only want to stop him is for him to wreck! And that’s just what happened.

It was an amazing race! And I am happy for Kenseth, who is now officially in The Chase.
