Millions Of GM Vehicles Recalled
There is another major vehicle recall and it affects three point four million General Motors vehicles. Here's what you need to know. According to CBS News, General Motors is recalling millions of SUVs and large pickup trucks in the United States to fix a brake problem.
The three-point four million vehicles include the Chevy Silverado, the 2015 to 2017 Cadillac Escalade, the GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks from 2014 to 2018, the GMC Yukon, Chevy Suburban, and the Tahoe model years 2015 through 2018.
There is a problem with the pump in the power-assist brakes. They may put out less vacuum power than it needs which increases stopping distance that could cause a crash.
An investigation began last November by the National Highway Traffic Administration that led to the recall. Owners started to be notified on September 6th. Dealers will take the vehicles and recalibrate the electronic brake control module. It wasn't clear if there were any injuries caused by the brake issue but the recall should correct the problem.
