Military Themed Brewery Opens at Altamont Orchards
They are no strangers to the Altamont Orchard but now they can offer their brews permanently. Allied Brewing Company will continue to serve its military-themed beers inside the orchard's farm store.
What is the meaning behind Allied Brewing Company?
Allied Brewing Co. is owned by husband and wife Kevin and Darcy Efaw. The military theme of the company is to honor both of the couple's grandfathers who both served in World War II.
Allied Brewing Co. Brews Named After Military
Inside Altamont Orchards' tasting room, you can enjoy many military-themed beers like Patton's Pale Ale, M4 Sout, Rosie the Riveter Red IPA, D-Day Double IPA, and others. There are about twelve that are rotated.
Where is Allied Brewing Inside the Orchard?
The brewing equipment is located where the cider-pressing equipment once was. They are leasing the space that holds the taproom and a beer garden in the back with beautiful Helderberg mountain views according to the Times Union
One of the Brews Featured at the Altamont Fair
Allied Brewing Company also has a 101st Airborne Amber. The Altamont Fair has bought the entire first batch and will feature it at the fair next month.
When is the Taproom Open?
Allied Brewing Co. will be open from 4 pm until 9 pm on Friday, noon until 9 pm on Saturday, and noon until 6 pm on Sunday. It will also be featuring New York state-made ciders, spirits, and wines. Hours will expand when it's apple picking season.
