If you love to camp and you are procrastinator, there is good news for you. The DEC is now allowing those who want to camp but not commit, to make reservations up until the day before. It was announced that the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation will let visitors to their campgrounds and make reservations as late as you want.

According to the Daily Gazette, because camping is so dependent on the weather the DEC is allowing campers to make reservations up until the day before. This will also give campers the opportunity explore and plan their camping, hiking, and fishing.

There are fifty two Department of Environmental Conservation campgrounds and five day use campgrounds in the Catskill and Adirondack Forest Preserves. The camping season begins this summer and runs through Labor Day. You can make reservations by visiting the Reserve America website or by calling 1800-456-CAMP.
