Jaxson Dart Injury Is Bigger Than the Giants — It Stinks for the Entire NFL
Giant Fans Get Worst News Possible
I'm a Cowboys fan, so believe me when I tell you I'm not exactly programmed to feel sorry for the New York Giants.
But this absolutely sucks.
According to sources, Jaxson Dart is expected to undergo season-ending surgery after suffering a left knee injury Monday night against the Rams. The encouraging news is that his ACL is reportedly intact and he's expected to make a full recovery.

Over Before It Started
But his 2026 season is over almost as soon as it started.
And regardless of which NFL team you root for, the league is infinitely more entertaining when its stars are actually on the field.
You don't buy tickets to a Broadway show hoping to see the understudy. You want the main attraction.

And over two weeks, NFL quarterbacks are dropping at an alarming rate. Kyler Murray, Caleb Williams, Sam Darnold, and Jayden Daniels have all been dealing with injuries, and now Dart is done for the season.
For Giants fans, this one feels especially cruel.

The Giants Can't Have Nice Things
Just last season, there was legitimate excitement surrounding a young Giants offense before injuries ripped away two of its most exciting weapons. Malik Nabers tore his ACL in Week 4, and Cam Skattebo later suffered a season-ending dislocated ankle.
Now, after opening this season with a win over Dallas, Giants fans finally had another reason to believe. And then this.
What makes Dart so easy to root for—even for a Cowboys fan—is the toughness and energy he brings to the position. He reportedly wanted to return to Monday night's game after suffering the injury... which is absolutely insane.
Thankfully, he didn't.
Giant Fans: Is Dart Your Guy?
There's been plenty of discussion about whether Dart's aggressive playing style can hold up physically at quarterback. That's a conversation for another day.
Right now, Giants fans have to be asking themselves if they have their quarterback, and Dart has certainly given them plenty of reason to believe they do. Now comes the long road back.
Here's hoping Jaxson Dart returns healthy and better than ever.
Because regardless of which team you root for, the NFL is a better league with Jaxson Dart playing in it.
