Grateful Threads vintage clothing store has closed it's doors after 5 years of giving Saratoga Springs, New York even more cool than it already had. The tiny shop, located in the city's Arts District at 33 Beekman Street, made the surprising announcement this morning via their Instagram page.

We love spending time in the Spa City as it has so much to offer with Saratoga Race Course, Saratoga Performing Arts Center, and all of the stores along Broadway. Even with all the great tourist attractions our favorite destination has been Grateful Threads. Man, this bums me out.

The first time we visited Grateful Threads we were warmly greeted by shop owner Noah and we spent several minutes chatting as if we had known each other for years. Once I saw all of the vintage concert t-shirts, team jackets, and hats I knew I would bring my son there next time he was in town.

I believe every time my son has visited we paid a visit to Grateful Threads and Noah was always kind enough to give customers a 10% discount if they could sink a basket with the Nerf-style hoop on the back door.

Dear Saratoga, thank you for the best few years I could have ever asked for. Some recent unforeseen personal issues have left me needing to take some time for myself. Thanks to you guys I was able to live my dream & turn a tiny little room into one of the coolest spaces in Saratoga. - Noah

Dear Noah, thank you for giving the Capital Region a world class shop that we could brag about to anyone we had the chance to talk to.
