This coming Sunday, two big events in the world of Auto Racing take place. First off, we have the Greatest Spectacle In Racing, The Indianapolis 500 and secondly the longest race of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, The Coca Cola 600.

The Indianapolis 500 is of course the most prestigious race in the IndyCar Circuit and is one of the oldest and most important races in the entire world. Around 400,000 people will be in attendance for this great race.   The Coca-Cola 600 isn't nearly as prestigious and isn't even NASCAR's biggest event. That belongs to the Daytona 500. But the 600 is the Sprint Cup Series longest race of the season and is a battle of endurance. You never know who is going to have the right strategy to win making it a very intriguing race every year.

The Coca-Cola 600 was brought about as a way for NASCAR to rival the Indy 500. From 1974 to 1992 the races were held at the same time. Now The Indy 500 starts at 11am and the 600 normally starts around 5:30. For awhile some racers would compete in both races, but hasn't been done in the last few years.

I am a fan of racing but have never been a big IndyCar fan. I may catch a glimpse of the Indy 500, but probably not the whole thing.  I will definitely be tuning into the Coca-Cola 600 though. This brings me to my question, which do you enjoy more The Indianapolis 500 or the Coca-Cola 600?
