If You Like Miranda Lambert and The Band Perry, You’re Gonna Love Brandy Clark

I have a new girl crush.

I stumbled upon Brandy Clark when I was trolling online the other day and I really think she's great!

Brandy is responsible for writing and co-writing songs like "Mama's Broken Heart," "Better Dig Two," and "Follow Your Arrow" by Kacey Musgraves.  She has also written for Sheryl Crow and Keith Urban.

Brandy's got her own music too!  And I absolutely love it!  Here's the video I can't stop talking about, "Stripes."

So great, right!?

Her lyrics are smart and sassy, and her voice is really, real country. I think her music is the perfect crossroad between "older" country and "newer" country.  And, quite frankly, I find it refreshing to have a break from bro-country!
