There’s a bogus email going out to some E-ZPass customers and people should not respond or even open it. Officials from the New York State Thruway Authority have been alerted about these emails that claim it’s from E-ZPass Customer Service Center, and has the in the subject line, ‘Payment for driving on toll road.’ In the story from CBS 6 Albany, officials are saying that this email is probably a phishing scam, and it isn’t from E-ZPass.

If you’re not sure about any email that you may have received, and whether or not it’s legitimate, you can check your account through the website, or call customer service at 800-333-8655
