Sweep the Leg, Martin Kove is filming a movie in Upstate NY

Martin Kove, the actor best known for his role as antagonist John Kreese in the Karate Kid movies and Cobra Kai series, is working on his latest movie, which, from what we hear is being filmed in Upstate New York.

The film, called Dark Night of the Soul, is described as a thriller, and Kove plays the father of a "renowned scientist who holds the key to a cure for a prehistoric bacteria ravaging the world."

His daughter in the film, actress Kristanna Loken, made a post on social media on Tuesday expressing her excitement to be back in Upstate New York working alongside Kove.

Loken, originally from Ghent, NY, is no stranger to the big screen having appeared in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, a film she made 20 years ago.

In Dark Night of the Soul, Loken plays "a renowned scientist who holds the key to a cure for a prehistoric bacteria ravaging the world. When she gets trapped in her car after a crash the isolated woman must overcome physical injuries and the emotional scars from her complex relationship with her father."

Where is the movie being filmed?

According to Screen Daily, the production crew is currently filming in Windham and Prattsville, which are about an hour southwest of Albany, in the Hudson Valley part of New York. They didn't disclose the exact locations
