If you’re a fan of e-books and have yet to get on the Harry Potter bandwagon, well good news!  J.K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series, announced Thursday that her seven novels will be sold for the first time ever on the web, beginning in October.  However, the e-books will only be sold through the new online portal, “Pottermore.”

The novels will also be available in audiobooks and in multiple languages.  Prices for the e-books have not been determined yet.  "Pottermore" will offer a digital encyclopedia, a role-playing game, and 18,000 words of new Potter material from Rowling.  It will also allow the author to sell diretly to fans, bypassing online retailers.

The "Pottermore" website will go live on Harry Potter's birthday, July 31st of course!  However, fans can register now to become one of the first million visitors to the site and enter a competition.  Just go to Pottermore.
