Just as indoor dining has resumed in most regions of New York, the Governor has raised some concerns about it.

In his daily press conference today Governor Cuomo said the state will be reviewing the' risk reward' of indoor dining, mostly for New York City.  He plans to announce the findings of this review Wednesday. New York City is still in phase 2 of reopening and phase 3/indoor dining could start Monday based on the current plan. The Governor did say the review is 'primarily' for the city and did not say if any of the state's findings would apply to other regions as well. The Governor stated "indoor dining has shown it is problematic" but did point out outdoor dining is working well statewide.

Hopefully at this point any review of the data and the state's restaurant reopening policy will just apply to New York City. The circumstances there are completely different from here the Capital Region and other areas of the state when it comes to practicing safe social distancing. Knowing how well the data has been trending here in our area, one would assume while there are concerns about indoor dining, it seems to be going well locally. Lets hope we stay on the current course as we get ready to hit phase 4 of reopening.
