In the wake of the horrible crash that killed twenty people in Schoharie, hundreds of thousands of dollars have been donated to the families. With all of the Go Fund Me accounts being set up, the state says that there is a way to verify their authenticity. Many people have been helping the victims' families in the tragic accident that killed twenty people and affected the entire Capital Region and beyond. According to News Channel 13, the attorney general of New York wants to make sure that the donations go to the intended families that they are set up for.

Go Fund Me has set up a centralized hub for all of the verified accounts related to the crash. So far there have been six thousand donors and nearly four hundred thousand dollars raised for the twelve Go Fund Me funds that have been set up. Much of the funds raised will go toward funeral costs, college funds for young children, future support and other expenses.
