Go Big or Go Cone! That’s How they Swirl at the Cobleskill Diner
Cone Crazy
Size does matter—at least when it comes to ice cream and the Cobleskill Diner swirls cones so big that your diet will need a support group. But nobody's complaining, certainly not me; go big or go home—that's the Cobleskill Diner's way!
The Cobleskill Diner, a family-run business for over 40 years, serves a full range of menu items for breakfast, lunch, and dinner year-round. Their towering soft ice creams are seasonal and available Tuesday through Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Cones Bigger Than Your Cousin's Lifted Truck
Come for the cow country charm, stay for the 12-pound ice cream cone! From left to right, the Squirt is $1.25, the Newborn is $1.75, the Baby is $2.50, Small is $3.50, Medium is $4.99, and the Large is a very reasonable $5.99.
Last summer, the photo of the ice cream appeared on a Schoharie County Facebook page and quickly garnered hundreds of comments, shares, and likes (not licks); some even joked that it was the Cobleskill Diner's small.
It's not a "small" someone was kidding. It's a large cone, but their prices are so reasonable that customers say they pay a little more than $5 for the 20-swirl masterpiece.
Better Start Licking
The Facebook comments were priceless, and most would agree that a visit to the Cobleskill Diner is well worth the detour of I-88, and possibly the hernia!
