Remember when people were talking about the the Giants as a possible Super Bowl contender? My how the mighty have fallen.  An underachieving team, lack of discipline, and the benching of Eli Manning all led to the firing this morning of New York Giants head coach Bob McAdoo.

The NY Post is reporting this breaking news out of Giants headquarters.  Big Blue came into the 2017 football season with sky high expectations but the optimism quickly came to a crashing halt after a poor start.  The team now sits at a dismal 2-10. Along with head coach McAdoo, GM Jerry Reese has also been let go.

Before this weeks loss to the Oakland Raiders many close to the organization specified that John Mara, co-owner of the team, was extremely unhappy about coach McAdoo's decision to bench long time QB and two-time Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning.

Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo will be the new interim head coach. No word yet on whether or not Eli will start at QB next week.
