The "Downtown Is Pawsome" project is going strong in downtown Albany and for this week only, you have an opportunity to get your furry friend a free toy. The downtown Albany Business Improvement District (BID) along with the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society are promoting Nipper Week through Sunday (August 6th). Back in June, twenty artist decorated three foot Nipper dog statues and they were put around the city. The "Downtown Is Pawsome" art project is being celebrated this week. It also coincides with the opening of the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society's new retail store called Nipper's Nook.

You can check out the map of where the Nipper statues are and remember Nipper Week ends on Sunday (August 6th).
