Toilet paper is still a great find if you are out shopping during the pandemic. But now the new product that Americans are panic-buying has shifted. This product makes a bit more sense than toilet paper. According to CBS 6 Albany and the CEO of Walmart, the next item on the panic-buying list is hair color. Walmart CEO Doug McMillon was on the Today show Friday and said that the habits of Americans shopping has shifted more toward self-grooming.

He did say that toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and wipes are still in high demand. But he said when talking with Savanah Guthrie from the Today Show:

“Lately we’ve seen more grooming products, people are starting to need a haircut, so you start to see more beard trimmers and hair color and things like that. It’s interesting to watch the dynamic play out."

He went on to say that because of salons and barbershops being closed, Americans are trying to use the do-it-yourself grooming items. Hair dye is top on the list. He also warned people not to hoard the hair dye, but to buy it as needed so everyone can get what they need.
