Jim Reagan is an Elsmere fire chief and also a Town Of Guilderland paramedic. In the story from News 10 ABC, when he went into the store, he saw a group of people all gathering around one area near the floor. They were some of the store’s employees that wanted to help the woman.

Reagan found out that there was no automated external defibrillator. He performed CPR on the woman, which got her pulse back and got her to breathe again. The Delmar-Bethlehem EMS was called, and while they were on their way to the store, the woman had another cardiac arrest. CPR was started on her again, which got her pulse back. Until EMS got to the store to bring the woman to the hospital, Reagan was still doing CPR.

At last report, the woman was put into a medically-induced coma and is making some progress. Jim Reagan is being called a hero.
