Country Idol 2013 kicked off it's fourth season at Vapor in Saratoga Casino and Raceway on January 17 with a packed dance floor, celebrity guest judges, some great singers, and Elvis!

A distinguished panel of judges including GNA's Lou Roberts, Vapor's Kathleen Anderson, and award winning Elvis tribute artist Drew Polsun ranked the hopefuls on stage presence, appearance, and vocals. The top 5 contestants from each month are invited back to the finals on Thursday, June 20 to sing for $5,000.

Former finalist Mike Bear landed in the top 5 with his emotional rendition of Randy Houser's 'Anything Goes.' Steve Thomas also returned to Country Idol with a strong showing on Chris Young's 'You,' landing him a spot in the finals. Meanwhile, powerful female vocalists Tori Osterhot, Britney Henderson, and Nicola Marshall rounded out the night's top scoring performers.  Henderson tackled and conquered The Band Perry's 'Better Dig Two,' the most requested song to perform by numerous Country Idol contestants this month. The new song is certain to become a karaoke classic.

While the singers lit up the stage, the dance floor was over filled with line dance hits like Darius Rucker's 'Wagon Wheel,' Little Big Town's 'Tornado,' Luke Bryan's 'Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye,' and Kip Moore's 'Beer Money.' Award winning Elvis tribute artist Drew Polsun also got the joint rockin' with some Elvis classics that got the ladies screaming!

The next Country Idol is Thursday, Feb. 21 at Vapor in Saratoga Casino and Raceway, sign up here. By the way, Randy Houser joins us on Thursday, Feb. 7 for another special Budweiser Country Night.
