Counterfeit Cash Ring May Have Victimized Albany Area Businesses
Colonie Police received a call on Saturday about a suspicious car on Osborne Road which lead to something more.
They discovered that there was fake money in the vehicle, and that driver and passenger were allegedly part of a counterfeit ring. The suspects are 28-year-old Ronny Parsons and 30-year-old Ephraim Jackson, both from New York City. Since Friday, the two suspects were with two other people, and were staying in East Greenbush.
According to the story from WNYT, there may be several Albany area businesses where the counterfeit money was used. The cash is $100 dollar bills and they’re series 2006.
