Be On The Lookout! Creeper Spotted At Popular Capital Region Playground
The weather has been unseasonably warm and we are enjoying the parks and playgrounds while we can. But here is a warning for parents who are going to The Crossings in Colonie. There have been reports of a creeper near one of the playgrounds.
I came across this post on Facebook from Tuesday, February 27th from a mom who frequents The Crossings of Colonie. She mentioned that she decided to go to a different playground on the property because the other was too crowded. When she got there, they had the playground to themselves but then she noticed something and someone.
The Mom wrote:
As we were leaving the park I noticed a red Toyota Prius with Virginia plates and a guy sitting in it staring at us. He would not stop staring. It was creepy. He was parked next to me. I was very cautious about getting the kids in the car. He continued to stare.
When another mom showed up, she went on to say that she didn't feel comfortable leaving this mom and her young son there alone while the man was still there. She noticed that the man was now fixated on that mom and her son.
This uneasy mom decided to call the Colonie Police. When she spoke with an officer, they said,
...they talked to him and there's something off with him. My call was not the first call they have gotten regarding this guy. They have gotten several in the past and if I see him again not hesitate to call.
She said that she wasn't sure what this guy was doing but it made her uneasy. She went back through her phone and watched some of the videos of her kids playing and noticed that the man was in the background staring at them the entire time.
Here is a flyer from the Colonie Police that was posted on her Facebook page warning parents at The Crossings. He has been asked to stay off of The Crossings of Colonie property.
The description of the man and his information is listed above. The car is a 2010 red Toyota Prius with Virginia license plates. If you see him at The Crossings of Colonie or have any other information, call the Colonie Police Investigative Unit. 518-783-2754.
