Capital Region Gas Prices Could Fall Below $2/Gallon
Due to everyone staying at home, gas prices are going down.
I guess this is one of those things we could look at as a positive; the only negative is how we are getting there.
According to a Times Union story, Capital Region gas prices have been trending down and could end up falling below $2 a gallon. The report quotes Gas Buddy, which attributes the lower prices to less demand for gas right now with everyone staying home.
During any other time gas under $2 would be a a welcome sight, the problem now is how we got here. Hopefully during these tough economic times the lower gas prices give some relief to workers and businesses who may be struggling right now. And it's funny - we may welcome higher gas prices in the months to come as a great sign that things are turning around here in the Capital Region.
