Taste of Country Music Festival headliner and overall good guy Brad Paisley went way out of his way to honor the troops over Memorial Day weekend.  He flew to Afghanistan for a surprise visit to Bagram Air Base where he played an hour-long acoustic set for about 3,000 U.S. troops!

How did he get there?  He rode with President Obama on Air Force One!

Brad had to move his concert in Iowa on Saturday to an earlier slot  in order to make the trip happen.

President Obama was impressed.  He told the troops, "[Brad] had to juggle a lot of stuff.  Without going into details, this was a big sacrifice for him.  And he did it because he cares so deeply about the military."
