One of them may have the most historic backstory of them all, and it was recently voted the nation's best amphitheatre by the readers of USA Today.

Bethel Woods Center For the Arts Voted Top US Amphitheatre

We all know the historical significance of the hallowed ground where the Bethel Woods Center For The Arts stands. As the site of Woodstock in 1969, the most legendary concert festival of all time, it is the home of rock and roll and concert lore. So it only makes sense that big presence lives on today and remains a prime destination for live music.

USA Today's 10 BEST feature recently put it up for a vote to its readers to determine the best music/concert amphitheatre in the nation, and the Pavilion at Bethel Woods came in at #1!

Here is what USA Today had to say about the Upstate New York concert gem:

Set on the historic site of the 1969 Woodstock festival, The Pavilion at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts showcases its rich musical heritage within the Catskills. This open-air amphitheater features a sweeping pavilion roof over 5,000 seats and a gently sloping lawn with seating for 11,000 more guests. Each seat offers great acoustics and views of the stage, and performances range from jazz to pop, rock, country, soul — you name it.

Located amongst the stunning rolling hills of Bethel, Bethel Woods offers a bucolic setting along with a stunning concert facility. The musical storyline from Yasgur's Farm to now continues to grow as one of the nation's best and most historic locations for live music.
