In November of 2013, I wrote a story about how Make A Wish and the entire city of San Francisco turned one little boy's wish to be a superhero into a reality.

It was one of the most touching and heartwarming things I had ever reported on and now we all have a chance to relive that miracle outpouring of love for one little boy at the premiere of "Batkid Begins," a documentary covering all that went into that special day.

I realize there may be many of you who did not hear about the story or have forgotten just how special that day was, so before I tell you about how you can see the new film right here in the Capital District and support Make A Wish, take a look at the trailer for the movie.

According to a news release from Make A Wish:

Make-A-Wish Northeast New York invites the public to join Wish families, volunteers and staff on July 30 for the advance screening of Batkid Begins at the Spectrum Theatre, one of the selected locations throughout the country to show the limited release of the film.

The screening begins at 6:30 p.m., and will feature an appearance from Batman, who will be available for pictures in the lobby prior to the film. A percentage of proceeds from advance screening tickets will benefit Make-A-Wish Northeast New York.

The Spectrum Theatre will then show the film for one week starting on July 31.
