It won't be long now. Adirondack Bass Pro Shops has set an opening date, and they plan on having a big opening.

Bass Pro Shops is getting ready to open its brand new location in Clifton Park, and they’re celebrating with a night full of music, outdoor legends, and community support.

The event, called the “Evening for Conservation,” will feature country singer-songwriter Blaine Holcomb, who’ll kick things off with a live performance at 5 p.m. Several big names in the world of bass fishing are scheduled to appear, including Chris Johnston, Roland Martin, Jimmy Houston, and Kevin VanDam.

It’s more than just a party. During the celebration, 20% of the dollars spent on most items will be donated to local conservation efforts, giving outdoor enthusiasts a way to shop and give back at the same time.

The new store sits on the former Northstar Chevrolet site off Northway Exit 9, just south of Route 146. It’s the fourth Bass Pro Shops in New York and is filled with gear for fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, and everything in between.

Clifton Park has been preparing for the arrival. In July 2024, the town received a $3.45 million state grant to improve Sitterly Road and nearby sidewalks and upgrades that town leaders say were made even more important by the store’s impact.

Earlier this year, Bass Pro Shops also hosted a two-day hiring event to staff nearly 150 full- and part-time positions.

The grand opening and ribbon cutting are set for Tuesday, July 30th, with doors opening to the public right after the evening’s festivities.
