Backyard Games to Play Instead of Cornhole [LIST]

Whether you're tailgating or having a BBQ, it seems like everyone has their own cornhole game but is it really that much fun?

Everyone's favorite game to play outside in the summer seems to be cornhole but, let's be real, the game is heavy and takes more skill than it is entertaining. I get it, though, there aren't a ton of options and everyone knows how to play. Thrillist came up with some other fun games to play with your friends so you can leave the bean bags at home.

• Spikeball: this game isn't any easier to transport than cornhole but it involves trampolines so I'm game. It's like volleyball but instead of getting it over a net, you slam it into the netted trampoline on the ground. Their website describes it as "if volleyball and foursquare had a baby."
• Ladderball: this is a pretty common game and pretty similar to cornhole but it's a lot easier to bring around and a little easier to play, as well.
• KanJam: another pretty popular game but all it takes are two cans and a frisbee. This is most likely the game that would dethrone cornhole as top outdoor summer game.
• The Bag Game: this one is easy and doesn't take much to play! Put a paper bag in the middle of a ring of people. Each person must balance on one leg, lean down and pick the bag up with their mouth- you fall, you're out. After each round, take an inch off the top of the bag and do it again!
• Flickin' Chicken: this game is exactly what it sounds like, you throw chickens onto a target and whoever gets closest to bullseye wins. I can't explain why this is a thing but I'm happy it is.
• High Noon: two people stand back-to-back, walk 10 paces, turn around, drink whichever beverage you choose as fast as you can and then throw the can at each other when you're done. This doesn't seem too safe but, hey, it's an option.
• Egg Roulette: Jimmy Fallon picked this game up for his show. Hard boil all but one egg in a carton and take turns breaking the eggs on your head until you find the one that isn't hard boiled- they lose.
