Baby Stroller Leads To Albany Area Man’s Arrest
A man was pushing a baby stroller just a few blocks away from The Rensselaer Walmart, but it didn’t have a baby in it.
In a press release from The East Greenbush Police Department, store security notified East Greenbush Police about a man that was allegedly shoplifting. Security gave a description of the man to police, and it didn’t take long to find the guy.
When they spotted him, 27-year-old Anthony J. Morris of Schodack Landing was stopped and questioned by police. They noticed a fluffy baby blanket in the stroller. Morris sounded evasive when they asked him about the baby. The officer lifted the blanket and discovered a $400 dollar computer that he allegedly stole from the store.
Morris was charged with larceny and a court date on September 5, 2013 in East Greenbush Town Court.
