Alex West Found Guilty On Several Charges In Lake George Boating Death
News 10 is reporting this afternoon West was found guilty of most of the charges related to last summer's boat crash that killed 8-year-old Charlotte McCue.
Among the charges he was found guilty of are 2nd degree manslaughter, assault in the 2nd degree, leaving the scene of an accident without reporting and criminal possession of a controlled substance. West was found guilty of 8 of the 12 charges he faced. The crash happened after Log Bay Day on Lake George last summer.
As a parent cannot imagine what Charlotte's family has gone through over the last year since the crash. No one should ever outlive their children. As a parent I don't know if you can ever get over something like this, but hopefully they can get some sort of closure now that the trial has come and gone.
