If you've wanted to live in Downtown Albany but those apartment buildings aren't for you, have you ever thought of buying a castle? You can now that one of Albany's most famous is for sale!

You probably have walked by this castle a bunch of times but never thought about the history or inside beauty of Albany's very own castle, The Charles LaDow House. New York Upstate reported that the house, built in 1891 for Charles LaDow is now for sale for $750,000. The mansion has 11 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 1 half bath, a library, and you need to take a look at the beautiful hardwood flooring.

A bit of a backstory before you grab your realtor, the house is reportedly haunted. According to NYup: "LaDow's son died from asphyxiation soon after moving into the castle due to a faulty gas fixture. LaDow lived in the home for 11 years before he went bankrupt and left his family broke. He died while waiting for a streetcar on Central Avenue."

If you're looking for a piece of Albany history that may come with some unexpected guests and can afford the estimated $3,501 monthly mortgage payment then this house may be for you!
