The residents in this section of Schenectady County are finally getting a new grocery store. They have been in need of one for nearly two decades. There were empty stores in the area that are being repurposed into a new, much-needed supermarket.

Where is the New Grocery Store Going?

The new supermarket is being built in Rotterdam at the Five Corners. It is already in the advanced stages of being built. Schenectady County made the announcement last March that they would be taking on two abandoned sites. One was the old CVS Pharmacy and the store next door was Taylor & Vadney Sporting Goods Shop according to the Daily Gazette.
