Wait – Taco Bell is Now the Healthiest Fast Food Chain?!
I guess stranger things have happened, but this can't be right - can it?
According to the latest edition of Business Insider, "while no one was looking, Taco Bell has been scheming." But, not in a bad way it seems. I just can't believe it.
For years, people have been confused as to what type of meat the fast food chain is even serving, let alone thinking for even a second that it's healthy. Honestly, don't we all go there because it's a cheap remedy to a hangover?
So when did this happen - how did Taco Bell become the healthiest fast-food chain around? It seems odd that that's even a thing considering some of the items still on the menu, like a Dorito shelled taco. It turns out that Taco Bell has been taking some serious action thanks to their dietician and product developer, Missy Nelson.
We can thank Nelson for removing many artificial ingredients, choosing cage-free eggs, allowing lighter options, as well as a 15% sodium cut across the menu! There are low calorie items, high protein items and even vegetarian options.
