
Unknown Hero Saves Drowning Boys in Washington County
Who is the mysterious fisherman who saved two drowning boys in Washington County on Sunday?
Officials from the Washington County Sheriff's Office are trying to piece together the limited information they have as they try to locate a local fisherman they believe is a legitimate hero. It is believed that two young boys were saved by this unidentified this man in Cossayuna Lake on Sunday.
According to the Times Union, a pair of 10-year-olds and their families have an unidentified hero to thank for rescuing two young boys from drowning on Sunday afternoon in Cossayuna Lake. The report states that one of the 10-year-olds fell into the water and that's when the other boy jumped in to try to save him.

The TU is reporting that neither child was wearing a lifejacket when they fell into water at approximately 230 PM on Sunday.
The yells from the boys struggling in the water caught the attention of a local fisherman who, according to the Times Union report, was able to get them to shore safely.
After he was able to help out the youngsters, the man took off without properly being thanked according to the information released. Once out of the water, the two boys were treated by local EMS crews and then were then returned to their parents who were on the scene.
The Washington County Sheriff's are asking anyone with information on the fisherman to call them at 518-746-2475.
Cossayuna Lake is located off Route 40 at the Hamlet of South Argyle. It has a shoreline length of approximately 8 miles and it's depths can reach up to 25 feet.
