Heartbreaking Photo of Abandoned Dogs

The photo is heartbreaking, as both of the handsome (and seemingly lost) doggies look a little nervous in the back seat of a stranger's car. One of the dogs appeared to have a collar, and they both seemed relatively healthy and well-groomed.  Who would leave them unattended and why?

That's what Troy police want to find out, as according to a report from Sidewinder Photography, the two pictured pups were found wandering the streets of Troy over the weekend.

Who Could Have Abandoned Them, and Why?

I saw Sidewinder Photography's Facebook post over the weekend, and we thought someone reading this right now might have some answers. While both dogs could certainly use a little TLC, they don't appear battered or bruised; both seem relatively well-groomed.

So what happened?

Did they wander away from their owners, or did something happen to them? Regardless of the circumstances, the Troy Police hope to be able to turn them over to their rightful owners or find them a new forever home.
